Hippokappu Raid (2012)

Under instruction from the admiralty, the Raeller left the 19th Fleet and rendevouzed with the Hayanban submarine tender/icebreaker Saroma where it received order to sail to Hippokappu Bay on the eastern side of Iturup. Once there, Raeller opened fire, destroying the local airfield and settlements. Moving back, the Raeller also supported ASW helicopters from DNNV Roqual, which sunk HNS Alexander Bradley, a Hayaban Foxtrot Submarine
